The San Francisco 49ers have some decisions to make in the offseason.
Brock Purdy will be the biggest piece of the puzzle.
He’s reportedly set to demand a contract extension that would make him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the game, and some have second thoughts about that.
For what it’s worth, it seems like he’s got Dan Marino’s stamp of approval.
Following the loss to the Miami Dolphins, Purdy recalled that Marino reached out to him because he wanted to meet him.

Brock’s father, Shawn, is a diehard Dan Marino fan.
That’s why Brock wears No. 13, just like his father’s idol.
Granted, Brock Purdy is no Dan Marino, but he does have an opportunity to do what he didn’t, which is win a Super Bowl.
That won’t happen this season, though.
Against all odds, the Niners didn’t even make the playoffs just one year after reaching the Super Bowl.
The Niners have to make some adjustments to their roster, especially their offensive and defensive lines, and that will also take a big chunk of the money if they don’t do it through the NFL Draft.
That, plus their aging, injury-prone, and expensive veterans, will put them in a tough spot, money-wise.
For now, however, one thing seems to be a certainty: Purdy will get the money he didn’t make in his rookie deal and much more in the offseason.
